Restoring Oliver 990. Took the brake drums off and was not surprised with what I was facing. Needed all linings replaced, so started calling around of the places that I know. No luck, told that no one offers new or relined Disks. Told that most people just take old disk to local brake place that does this kind of work. Called two places that I have used before, both places have closed. Called more business places and told, no, don't do that anymore. Went to implement dealers, five, sorry, same story. I can't believe that there is no place in Des Moines or surrounding area that does not reline brake disk. If there there is, I missed it. Did fine a place in Minneapolis, Mn that will do it. Anyone got any other suggestions. Thanks.
 
Brake and Equipment in Minneapolis,Mn does good work.They have done brakes for me on my '53 Desoto. Very satisfied

Give Mike's Brakes and Air Conditioning in Oskaloosa a call. 6 four 1 - six 7 three - 4 three 8 one. They have helped me out in the past (quite distant past). Not sure if they still do that stuff but worth a call. ADB
 
There is a shop not far from me that specializes in model 770-990s. Try Keith Deene at Green Acre Olivers in Lovettsville VA. I think his number is 540 822 9016.
 
I also was working on 990 brakes today. I called O'brien co Imp and they said they could order them, tomorrow I will talk to Tom. Funny how two guys from Iowa working on the same thing same day
