So what does it all take to put a 8.3 Cummins in a 2-155 series 2.
SAE 2 bell housing
White 160 PTO Hub
If anybody has done one looking for some details on conversion.

Here is one that we did about 10 years ago. Works awesome. Click on the link below for more details. The engine we used was out of a payloader. Hope this helps and if you have more questions let us know.

Never done it but sounds like a good idea. A truck engine would work fine but the governor would have to be reworked and the HP turned down. A truck is a peak HP rating you need something that will be close to 155 HP.
