2150 restoration progress

Theres not as many parts as I thought there would be. That 2150 is going to be top-notch A-1 when you get done! Looks really good.
 
No they are not as complex as one might think but parts can be very expensive. Over $2200 for a new input shaft and $500 for the sprag clutch. The clutch plates, separator plates and the bearings were not too bad.

My input shaft had groves worn in the splines by the clutch disks and the pilot bearing area was worn. This would cause new clutches to hang up on the worn splines and a floppy pilot bearing.

I got lucky and found a decent used input shaft so the total parts bill was around $1800. I guess that's why a rebuild in a shop coupled with labour for removal, overhaul and installation presents a big bill.
