Starting to do some work on my new to me 1650 Diesel and have a question on the serial number. Someone has painted over the ID tag below the dash but I can still make out the stamped numbers. I'm just not positive how to read the serial number. The top row of numbers is 265-22088 the bottom row is 178116-452. Is 178116 the serial number? If so and I'm looking at the tractor data website that makes it a 1966 version correct?? I need to get some pictures of it this weekend while the weather is nice and post them.

Thank you for the information. I have the Operator, Parts and Service manuals on order. Might show up today. Should make for some good reading and learning.

HPOCA has been doing research on the Build Card code numbers.   In view of the fact that the 1650 has become a favorite of collectors, I will add some additional information that is on the Serial number plate.
