A guy stopped by our shop yesterday and offered to sell me a 1250 dsl. with p. s.for $1,000.00. Really don't know anything about these. I have a barn nearly full of olivers, 550 to 1900 and don,t need it but at that price I might go look. He said it starts and runs smooth but that the generator does not work. Any info about one of these would be appreciated.

Parts are few and far between for the engines the rest of the tractor is pretty much like the later Fiats Oliver sold like the 1265 and the 1365,but if it runs good that's a good price anyway
I'd think.

Make sure you do a little checking on the governor & pump while you are working on it. Make sure the breather is clean and put a drop or two oil in there to keep the diaphragm soft. Make sure the oil in the pump is clean and new too. Put a drop of oil on the pin in the intake too. Do you have an Oliver shop manual for that tractor. I think I sent you an e-mail too. Did you receive it? J.
