2150 restoration progress

Got the axle carrier and the heavy front nose painted and installed this week. Hope to get fender tanks primed and painted this week.

Looks very nice, where abouts are you located, I wish this site had a place to put your town with your screen name like some other forums do.

ooks great!
It does have a place on modern version but lots of people don't like it. You can also go to yt maps but it takes awhile and sometimes they're not listed.
Thanks for showing us your progress. Real nice work!

We are getting ready to start on a 2150 two wheel drive. We are down by
Effingham Ill about 150 miles south of you. We know the complete history of this tractor.
Older brother operated it when it was new and I operated it a few years later.
Farmer that bought it traded a 2050 on it that was less than a year old. 2050 kept putting oil
on the clutch. Dealer had the engine out of the 2050 numerous times once twice in the same week Oliver was going to give him a new 2050 or he could get the 2150 by paying 500 dollars for the upgrade.
My son owns tractor now. He bought it from the second owner.

Larry, how did the big wear ring look that goes between the frame and the carrier? Mine was shot when we pulled it apart, I'd say the PO didn't like crawling under the front end much since it didn't look like mine had ever been greased.

Was there any wear in the front axle pivot?either the pin or the axle sub frame?if so what did you do to fix it(sub frame)?

Mine was worn on the side that carries the weight. I priced a new one and they are pretty proud of
it so I pressed mine out and turned it 180 degrees. Opened up the hydraul shift today. Finally found
something that wasn't tore all to hell. Everything looks new. There was a scribed number on the
clutch housing that is different than the one stamped on when new, I presume that is the rebuild
number.
