Hard shifting

Got a White 2-105. Not every time, but most times when you push in the clutch to change gears, it is very difficult to move the shifter lever. It's like it is still trying to pull. Is it a clutch adjustment issue or a over/under issue? Clutch seems to be correctly adjusted in that there is minimal free-play.

Ive gotten in the habit of putting the over/under in the under position anytime I shift. This takes any pressure off and makes shifting easy. Works on my 1850.
And yes my clutch is adjusted properly.

That's what you have to do. When the over/under is in direct or overdrive,it doesn't want to turn backwards to let the pressure off. A little unhandy, but they're made that way. Nothing wrong with it,it's just the way they are.

I had a 460 utility international one time. It had cleverly set up as part of the clutch linkage a mech to engage the TA as soon as you pushed in the clutch. It worked well.
