I'm rebuilding an 880. My rocker arms and shaft are worn pretty bad. Machine shop can rebuild buy it gets real spendy. I've tried agco, but parts are unavailable. I have a fairly good used rocker arm assembly from an early non super 88. will this work? Oil tube will need to be changed, and it has the wick type rockers. also pedestals are taller (3/16"). Should I just keep looking? Any ideas appreciated. Or if anyone has a lead on a good used assembly I'd be interested. thanks jh

Is this 880 a gas or a diesel? If it is a diesel I would not use it. There are plenty of those shafts around as they were used on several models beside the 880.

this is a gas engine. Should I assume the wickless rockers are superior since they replaced the wick type? Also, what about the difference in height? enough adjustment on the screw to account for this?

Yes that assembly replaced the wick type. I have put them on 88diesels and to not recall any problems. You have e-mail address?

if your rocker arms need to be resurfaced we can do that for you, email is open.
