I bought this in pieces, all but the motor. Someone went through the motor, then it set for about ten years. Before I put a bolt in, I had to run a tap in the hole to clean out the rust. I got her running, but would like to see a little more oil pressure. I still need to put another gauge on it for comparison yet. The thing likes to surge, so I took out the buffer screw and someone ground the spring way down. Oh well, I have a lot of time.

There's a plug under the gen. It's a pressure relief. You may try stretching the spring to increase oil pressure. Also there should be a standpipe that goes in the into the oil filter. Some have been lost overtime. Good luck.

That stand pipe in the filter has been replaced, so I pulled it out and there was no disk below it. I brazed the tip of the pipe, the drilled it out, and put it back in. Maybe it blew it out. I should take the filter back off and look.
