I cant publish the link but its on the quad
city Craigslist . Its a long 445 is this a
oliver 1350? Were they made in Romania ?
Just wondering

There wasn't a 1350. 1355 and 1365 was all. I don't know about the Long, but the Olivers were built in Italy.

Been trying to find out fiat is somewhere in there i think one allis was built in Romania . its definitely an oddball maybe some parts were mixed in . A lot of fiat tractors were sold under different names

Try here. It lists the Long 445 as being built in Romania along with the Allis 5040,but doesn't give any equivalent to what the Long would be. Being a three cylinder,it would have to be closer kin to an Oliver 1255 or 1265.

I guess from looking at those front planetaries,it might more likely be the equivalent of a 55 series.

Here's the Oliver version, it's a 1255, next in line for restoration in the garage. The Long's were Romanian built. Most all parts will interchange, quality control can be somewhat hit or miss. FWA parts for that tractor don't really exist, but that one looks in decent shape.

When i first seen it i remember being at shows where there were oliver, cockshutt and Minnie that were all the same just a paint change or even some that had different parts combined to make a different tractor. Thought it would be interesting to have a lineup of tractors like that and compare it would be interesting now i just need to win the lottery.

I have a few of those style tractors 3 AC 5040,Long 460,2 Long 445,Oliver 1365 2WD & 4WD,Fiat 550 Super. Also have a 1250 gas and a 1250 diesel they share many of the same parts as the others except the motors are totally different.Have an Oliver 1465 and a 1450 4WD plus 2 2WD 1450, the 1450 and the 1465 have the same rear but different engines and some more differences like the steering.

5040 Allis was Romanian as far as I can tell. I don't know what the Long equivalent is to it though.
