Mallory distributor cap

Any other caps available for the Mallory distributors? My steers seem to have an uncontrollable urge to chew/lick the cap and wires on my 1650, even with the engine idling.
Sorry for the upside down photos.

Mallory is best known in the marine area. I struggled to find parts for my Mallory. I went to a boat repair shop and was able to easily get parts.

Don't know. I had the same thing happen one time. I had to shut the tractor off for a few minutes, then it wouldn't start. They broke that center pin off when they pulled the wires and tipped the cap up. I put some of that electrical grease on it that comes in the little tube with a new alternator,to stick it together, then dropped it back on real quick. That was two years or more ago and it's still running.

Ya,I think if it was gonna be out there with the cattle too much,a person might be money ahead to fabricate something.

Hey thanks for the tip. When I switched to the mallory I soon converted it to pertronix electronic ignition as the condensors didn't seem to last long.

Really wish I could find a cap for something common like a Ford, Chevy, ect. that have the solid button not that fragile spring loaded design the mallory uses.
