1265 Fuel Pump

I was plowing snow and snowing blowing when the tractor just stopped. About 28F, just right for the snowblower to work. Engine stopped . Would crank but no firing. figured fuel issue, icing or at least water in the fuel. Have been adding diesel supp;lement all fall so I believe the fuel is OK. Changed both filters, used the transfer pump and cranking to be sure there was fuel thru the filter bleed screws. Opened each injector line and bled them one at a time. Still no fire. Bled lines again and still some air bubbles. Is there a way for the system to get an air lock? The only thing I did not bleed was the bleed valve on top of the pump. In a bad spot with the loader frame and it was stuck. Didn't want to break it off. Cranking plenty fast as I just hooked jumpers to the battery and kept it warm while I was working on it. Been in the mid 30's for a couple days but still no go. Only thing I haven't tried is pulling. It is headed up hill and even chained up I just spin out. does the injector pump make any unusual noise if it stops working??

If it's like a 1365,once they get air in the system, the only thing to do is tow them. Mine acted like it ran out twice, but what happened was,it had crud in the shut off in the bottom of the tank. The second time,I unscrewed it,took it off,and blew the gunk on through instead of just blowing it back in to the tank.

As I said, I haven't tried to pull it yet. Hopefully a contractor boosted it up the hill to the county road.. We hooked on yesterday with a loaded logging truck, long logs, with two set of triples on the drivers and he spun out also. Only need to go 50 feet. So what would be the best gear and where should the throttle be set?? Idle or half way??

High gear and more than half throttle, got it. I think I will open the the valve at the bottom of the tank and see if there is any dirt. Here is a picture a few years back. We have lots more snow now, maybe 18 on the flat away from the timber. The little winch on the back is for when I get stuck and it happens. I have a snowblower on now. If I get it running , I'll send another pic. Thanks for all the help.

Loosen one injector line nut at the injector until it starts ,then the rest in turn one at a time to bleed any air in the lines

Just make sure you have plenty of fuel coming out of the tank, those tanks are real bad about stopping up at the outlet,I even had to drill the hole out last Summer on my 1465 would get some fuel for awhile but not enough to run the tractor.Sounds to me like there was a fuel stoppage somewhere to start with to stop the tractor. Then as others have said just pull it beats burning up a starter.

One more thing I thought of today when the lift pump on my 1365 was going bad the tractor would cut off then I'd get it started and it would run again for awhile then cut off again.
The pump was pumping some fuel but apparently not enough or not enough pressure, put on a new lift pump and the problem was solved. Also the best lift pump I've found for those tractors can be bought at a New Holland/Fiat dealership as they still use that same block.

And we have the 1265 running!! Thanks for your help with the various ideas. It warmed up to 35 and sunny so that helped also. I will be sure to keep the fuel tank closer to the full side. Will be below 0 in a few days so I will be done for a bit. Happy New Year!!
