Does anyone know the model #s of oliver plows built in the mid to late sixties that had a true on land hitch? I am talking about a hitch that hooked to the 3 point lower arms and the tractor rode on top of the ground and not in the furrow. Believe they were made for the bigger front assist 4 digit tactors.

Larry-you and super99 are the experts on big Oliver plows! I know Oliver made a big pull type after the 4440 and 4441, it was the 448. I have seen them up to a 10 bottom. But I have never seen its equal in a semi-mount. Sorry-not much help------Tee

Neighbor has a Oliver 5-14 on land plow, which I have never seen one that small, I can't recall the model number. I have tried to buy it. He don't use it and won't sell.

I have sales literature dated 1 - 65 that shows a 566 on land hitch for 5 to 8 bottoms pulled by a 1850 narrow front that's pulling a 6 bottom plow

Farmer with mutt has it correct. We sold a 566 with an on-land hitch behind a 1950T. The owner was not happy with it and converted it back to a common 566.

I was wondering if it was a 566 series. The man I used to help bought a used on land hitch to put on a 566. I don't think there was a piece on it that wasn't welded on. We never put it on. It just looked like a pile of junk to me. I don't think you could pull them very well without a MFWD. The reason I'm asking is I have a chance to get a 6 bottom for the price of scrap. It not supposed to be in to bad of shape. I think it would look pretty neat behind my 2150 MFWD when I get it done. Supposed to get some pictures of it. Thanks to all you people who responded to this post.MERRY CHRISTMAS to all.

Doing a Google search (I also got interested) on y.t in September 27 2006 there was a discussion on this plow also have pictures from the same literature as I got.
I can see why they were trouble the way the front wheel is set up.
