need a new lift pump for a gas 1550.parts on here say nla.my dealer cant find one or a rebuild kit. where do I look also am not seeing it at steiners

Lift pump as in fuel pump? A gas didn't have one.

yes fuel. it has one on right side of block. mid section, line from sed bowl to pump ,

You can call Korves Oliver. They have kits for diesel lift pumps,but unless there's some industrial use where a gas had a lift pump,I'm sticking with what I know,that a gas is just gravity flow.

The guy I help has a late 1555 in the shop for some minor work> It has no fuel pump! It will run fine without a fuel pump!

I bypassed the pump made it gravity. seems ok but there is a pump on the block with a hand pump built in like on a diesel

I wonder if someone had a problem and thought putting a pump on would help. On mine you don't need a gas gauge you can tell by the way it's running if it's getting down on fuel.

My gas 1550 never had a fuel pump and doesn't need one as the tank supplies plenty of pressure to the carb,1550 diesel doesn't have a lift pump either now that I think about it.
