Agco T-Bird

T-Bird, I went to the local Agco here in town instead of the one I drive 30 miles to. Gave them a list of Moline parts for my tractor, parts gal called a few hours later, even found a discontinued part for me, put prices on my list and said let me know what you want need. Crossed off a couple things and handed the list back to her, said she will call next week when the parts are in. I haven't spend a hundred dollars in the last 15 years there. Last time I went there the parts guy told me who to call for the parts I needed and handed my list back. Guess I won't be driving thirty miles anymore unless I need it in a hurry. They started out selling Ford equipment 60 years ago, then Agco, and now Massey and a lot of short line equipment. chris

Something I found out the hard way at the new Agco dealer last spring was,if it'll be here next week,it's on a stock order. Get it on a drop ship and it'll be here tomorrow, two days at most.

We've got one dealer between the farm and my house, and another that's maybe 5 miles from my house the other way. We didn't mind stock ordering parts as there was never shipping, and usually we had some time before being too install it.

Only trouble is,they need $500 worth of orders to put one in. That works in busy seasons, but in off seasons,it can be a week before you get the parts.
