I was doing some service on my 1650 yesterday and checked the clutch
adjustment. It had about 2" of freeplay at the pedal which seemed
like a lot. The service manual says it is supposed to have 3/4". I
adjusted it to spec, but then the clutch would not disengage. The
clutch has always worked smoothly, and no trouble shifting. I set it
back the way it was previously. Any idea why the clutch won't
disengage when set to spec?
