Question for J. Schwiebert and other Oliver gurus. Neighbor has a Harlo-Oliver 4WD forklift, on the Liftmaster tag is stamped 1628-5-D, SN 243753. Mast looks to be at least 21 foot. Would like to know what year it may be and approximate weight. One of my books lists a 4-78, maybe that's the model? Outfit has been painted over completely. Thanks in advance..

does is look like this? my 1969 4-78 diesel, 28 ft mast. I think I got the ops manual from floyd co museum and the parts book from Jensales.

Yes it does, except the steer tires have the same tread style as the drive tires, wide bars like most industrial backhoes use. Thanks for posting! Any ideas about what it weighs?

I think its about 12,000 lbs, at least. lot of weight on the back.
