Oliver Sugarcane Farm Equipment

I was told that Oliver had a farm around Lafayette Louisiana, that they tested prototype tractors and equipment for sugarcane farming. Does anyone here have any knowledge of this? and if so where was it at? also are there any Louisiana guys here?

I'm 20 miles from Lafayette.never heard of an Oliver"farm".but it might of been before my time(I'm 54.I've seen 1650 and 1850 high crops in this area though.sugar cane is grown in all of South central and parts of central and southeast La.

I live in Louisiana and haven't heard of an oliver farm but it is very possible as many manufactures tested equipment in these incimate conditions.
