I tried to remove the main adjust on a 770 and it broke. Today I tried to heat it with a propane torch and use an easy out with no luck. Any suggestions? I'm about ready to order a rebuilt carb.

I am assuming you are talking about the nozzle that sits in the bowl under which you already have the main adjustable jet removed.

Did you try to soak the carb in oil like kroil? I also have heard automatic tranny fluid and acetone works well so I hear, never tried it (50/50 mix). I had one recently and decided not to touch nozzle but if I did was going to modify a screw driver to fit perfect it sounds like you might be beyond that. One other thing I am not sure if it matters the nozzles have different amounts of holes on the "straw" portion depending on carb, so I am not sure if any nozzle will work for a replacement.

Its brass right? Just drill it out and retap the carb bowl. Ive had to do that few times, Ill have to look at what size
the threads are as dont remember off hand.

Yep. It's brass. I need to get some drill bits before I can drill it any further. Then I have to find the parts to lug it back together.

bigger problem is I don't know what the part looks like. I will try to get it out in the next few days. Thanks again
