Ken got my crossbox done. Totally scratch built from new steel using what was left of the old one for a pattern. He had taken the battery cover back home to cut it down a little when I took the picture. It was a little bit too high and was hitting the bottom of the seat. He took the whole thing back home to fix the left fender and get things all matched up. At least we're finally making some progress.

I see the battery on one side, but what is the function of the other side of the crossbox? Toolbox, maybe? Or maybe the fenders bolt to it? Looks like your fab guy did a nice job.

On the diesels,both sides were battery boxes. This one's a gas and only had one battery,so they put a smooth lid on it for a toolbox. The battery lid is tapered and stands up higher to clear.
