Oliver 88 band to disc conversion

Was thinking of changing band brakes in a 88
to disc brakes. Was wondering if it is an
easy swap or if it is a lot of work and if
parts interchange easily. I have a tractor
with rear end issue and has disc brakes and
thinking of using another rear that has band
brakes but would like to change the brakes.
Thanks for any information.

How soon do you want to do this? I used to have an Oliver instruction sheet on how to do this. Right now harvest is starting and I don't have much time to look unless maybe if it rains every day like they say. Do you have an 88 parts boo? Next have you ever seen the 88 tractors that use the band brake bull pinions and the extender for the disk brakes threads into the band brake bull pinions

I do not have a parts book and don't think I have seen any of what you asked about the extensions. Are you referring to the conversion kit? I am planning on starting this project fairly soon but not sure yet depends on how involved the change over will be.

I have one of those 88's with the 'conversion' style disc brake. I think it came from the factory like that in 1953.
