Hi- I'm looking at buying an Oliver 1800 LP. Pretty sure it's and 1800A The guy who has it, bought it in late 60's and thinks it's a factory LP tractor- it was just like it is when he bought it. I haven't found much factory info on these and tractor data doesn't even list the LP for test data. All the 1800 Lp's I've seen have the tank running front to back- kind of the long way with the tractor. The one I'm looking at has the tank running crossways right in front of the steering wheel so it's a shorter tank but slightly larger in diameter than ones I've seen. The sheet metal looks good and doesn't really look like it was a conversion but just curious if anyone has seen this before or has any info on how these actually came from the factory. I did find one picture of an 1850 with a tank that looked like this one. Thanks.

not factory if tank goes cross ways, 1800 lp tank is long ways with hood. Are you sure its an 1800? Picture sure would help

Thanks for the reply- here's a couple of pics.

Why don't you just check the model/specification number? It will tell you. If you don't know how, e-mail me the number.

Sorry it took a while- but the seller sent me the following for serial number-

106085-A

Then he also said there was another number 22102D and then 7260 on the block.

I think that's kind of a in the middle of the "A"s but I don't know. If this was a conversion, it was done when the tractor was quite new- maybe done by a dealer. Thanks for all the replies.

So based on this serial number= 106085-A, can anyone tell if this was an LP tractor from the factory?

Then he also said there was another number 22102D and then 7260 on the block. Thanks for any info you can provide.
