Oliver 100 plow setup

Hey guys, can any of you help me with setup for what I believe is a 2-12 rooster comb lift model 100 plow?

I picked it up the other day and trying to have it ready for a plow day Saturday. What I need help with is the drawbar settings. This plow has the small steel tail wheel mounted to the back bottom landside.

All pictures of a similar plow (and the one a friend once had) the drawbar is set so when the plow is in the raised position the tail wheel is off the ground, but this plow when hooked to my tractor the tail wheel is still on the ground, and the drawbar is in the lowest position, so I believe it needs to be raised, but how much?

Should the drawbar just run level with my tractor drawbar? Can anyone enlighten me on setting up the drawbar, please? I plan to try to locate a manual, but if I did I doubt I'd have it by Saturday morning.

Thanks in advance,

Brad

The vertical link between the plow tongue and the front frame member needs to be adjusted shorter. The adjustment set screw is part of the plow frame bracket. Put a 4 inch block under the fixed tail wheel and then adjust the vertical link to make the plow drawbar level. This should get you started. You may need to fine tune the adjustment to level the plow when it is in the ground.
