Well I've baled a little over 100 bales with my 'new' 62-T baler and am pleased, makes a real nice bale and has missed a few but not enough to worry about. Also really like the way it
runs the hay into the chamber those fingers spreads it out and makes for a smooth flow even works well rebaling a bale. The previous owner must have been a real Hoss cause it was set to make about a 43" bale I cut it back to about a 34" bale thats big enough for an old fellow(LOL)The good part if the bales are worth $2 each I've already paid for it.

Do you have a chute baler? If there 43 inches that's three and half feet then two bales would be seven foot. Chances are he had a seven foot wagon so that would be two bales across stacked. Something about being old and gray you remember some odd things.

I have an Oliver 60T that I depend on that hasn't missed a tie in two or three years and a 620 I am doing a minor rebuild on that I could use for a backup. The only trouble I have had with the 60T has been twine related. I have been using clutch facing for a 49 Studebaker pickup for slip clutch replacement material. I only bale 600 to 1,000 bales a year, so I am not shopping for a baler replacement. I like a 34-36" 65# bale also.

It had a chute that came with it that I took off and just drop the bales on the ground for now but sounds like you might be right.I have on old New Holland bale loader that hooks to the side of a wagon and picks up the bales and dumps them on the wagon I might try to get it going again.

When people talk bale size they forget that the bales were made to match the wagon. Without looking I'm going to guess that if you measure the width of your bale it will be six bales sideways. Your right those bales are a lot easier being smaller back in the day nobody cared what was easy you just adjusted. Good luck and have fun.
