I was talking to a guy that says he has the first oliver88 diesel built. I am wondering if anyone would know how to verify if it actually is or not. He said it was displayed at the mn state fair when new and his uncle bought it and now his dad has it and may want to sell it. Thanks Brian

Contact Floyd county museum and they can look up all the info for you for a fee. They will send a build card and ownership papers so I have been told.

Go to tractor data. Com the first number 88 is 120001 but that's the first 88 built when they built the first 88 diesel is going to be a little digging. Floyd county is the best place to go it's amazing the information you will get. Also if you are going to sell having the proof can make it worth more. Mine turned out to be to be easy on tractor house using the serial number mine was the second built and the answers on here proved that to be true.

What was the serial number of your tractor? There are a lot of differences in the first run of those 88 diesels. On the build card They can do the Super models but I don't think they can do the older Fleetline tractors.

Sorry mines a 1550 number 157842 that's why it's easy . That's why I was thinking his 88 be harder to figure out especially diesel.
