1975 White 2-105 O/U input shaft

How snug should the input shaft fit into the pilot bearing?

Mine seems to be a very loose fit. I realise it wouldn't be a press/tight fit, since the bearing is locked into the PTO hub by a snap ring and the O/U slips into the bearing and is bolted to the clutch housing.

I don't notice any groves worn in the shaft but know the PTO hub wasn't put together properly as it was crooked in the flywheel. This could have caused wear on the whole bearing surface of the input shaft.

Will this cause problems down the road if it is assembled this way? Is it advisable to use Loctite? I fear there is too much play for Loctite to work though.

Thanks for comments/suggestions

that bearing fits with a slip fit not real tight not real loose .it should slide together with a slight push , not press fit ,it should not be sloppy fit
