On my 2-135 I noticed the PTO was running when the lever was in the brake position and when you move the
lever to engage it won't stay in the engage position. Anyone have experience with this?

First check to see if your diff. lock works. The diff. lock valve and the PTO valve both receive there pressurized oil from the pressure reducing valve which is located in the control valve stack that is located to the rear of the hyd. filter. The PTO valve is below the right side of the cab along with the diff lock valve. The diff. lock valve has a solenoid on it the PTO valve is connected to the lever with linkage so check that. There are 3 lines that go back to the PTO housing. One is for lube which is the large one it should have low pressure 30 to 80 psi. whenever the engine is running. Then one is pressurized when the PTO brake is on the other is pressurized when the PTO is on . Not sure on pressure without looking should be over 200 to 450 psi..

Never worked on one, but we have a customer with a couple of -2-85 tractors with the same problem. On his tractors the problem was in the linkage and causing the problem were worn cab mounts not allowing the linkage to detent like it should.
