Value of 1555 diesel

What is the current value of a low hour 1555 diesel
and where is the best site to list this tractor?

Really prices for all tractors and equipment I see sold is all over the place at auctions I've been going to but have trended to the low side lately. There's lots of
rumors about some farming operations going broke and having to sell out so that's keeping prices down I think.Your tractor might sell anywhere between $2000 and
$5000 at auction,You will just need to put a price on it you can live with and advertise it here, and CL would be a good start.A lot depends on how quick you need to sell it the lower the price
the quicker it'll sell most times.

I don't know if the diesel version adds or subtracts value, for me,I'd rather have a gas,but there was a gasser here on an auction two years ago, decent original, but off a large potato farm,so probably had a lot of inexperienced, seasonal operators. That one brought $4700. Had a wide front.

Photo ads here, but in all honesty,Craigslist would probably get you a buyer as quick as anywhere.

Really depends on where you're selling. Here in the mid-atlantic seems to be the sky is the limit. I've seen original low-hour 1550/55's going for up to $10,000 or more. Most of us wouldn't dare pay that much, but there are people out there who will.

I don't know I bought a 1550 diesel with a loader out of NC for $1500 and a gas 1550 out of Northern Virginia for $2000.I've seen several advertised for big $$$$ but
are they really selling?Last Spring at a sale in the Northern Neck they sold 3 1850's and none bought over $2600 all ran and operated and looked pretty good.Plus just bought the
1600 for $2200,I was expecting to have to go to $3500 or so. Seems like money is a little tight in the antique tractor market right now. That is a good looking 1555.

Hmmm TF, what did [b:fe5e2f0350]bv[/b:fe5e2f0350] actually say? ... "where is the best site to list this tractor?" He is not selling at some local auction, OFCOURSE those prices there are lower. From the looks of that tractor he can get top dollar. It's beautiful! List it here on YT or Tractor House. I think that they probably have the best nationwide exposure to buyers and you can put up as many pics as you want. Could also list it there with a dealer and sell on consignment.

I agree to a certain extent but there are many higher priced tractors in the photo ads that stayed there a long time so figure they didn't sell, same thing with CL and Tractor House ads.
Hard to get a figure on what actually sells and at what price unless its an auction where everyone there can see. Many posters on YT will claim that things sell higher at auctions
than anywhere else and that's true sometimes. With auctions its what its worth went cold hard cash has to be ponyed up,plus I've bought many things for far less then the advertised price so you can't really go by the advertised price when something sells. And you're right that appears to be a real nice tractor of course a picture doesn't tell you a thing about internals.

The ads on Tractor House that stay up for a long time are left there often because the dealer did not take them down and leave them up just for advertising. I've talked to several sellers like that.
