Oliver 565 plow

I may be purchasing a 565 4 -16 plow soon. Yrs ago I bought points for a Deere plow from shoups, which I think they get them from Weise mfg. in Iowa. Those points were terrible, they wouldn't pull the plow into the ground, even with suitcase weights hanging on the plow. Are there other places that make and sell deep suction points still for Oliver plows? I don't want to get an Oliver plow if I can't get decent parts for it. I've heard Oliver plows pull nice to, is that true?

I have 3 Oliver plows, 43xx models, A 2 bottom, 3 bottom and a 4 bottom. They all have, as you say, points on them from Weise mgf and work great. If anything, they are hard to hold from going to deep. You might want to look for another problem. I also have a Case 4 bottom that I had problems like you described and finally figured out it was not pulling strait. After adjusting the tongue on the plow it went in the ground and works good.

Oliver plows go in the ground alot better than a jd I use shoupe points on my Oliver plows and they work good
