Went over to the auction and bought the 1600 gas today. The bad, smokes a little, been painted with a brush. The good looks fine from 50ft(LOL),runs good, sheet metal is really straight, power steering, its a standard with 28" rear wheels, dual remotes with everything ready to go,3pt is good, good rims and tires, has a very nice and comfortable after market seat.
Also picked up an Oliver 62T baler looks like it has been sitting in a barn or shed for awhile but looks like it'll work and hasn't been abused, hydraulically tightens the bale don't exactly see how that all works. How much would you fellows of bid on these two? They sold a 550 gas that ran I didn't get it bought $1350 I bid $1300.Cheap enough I guess but I'm not real crazy about those.

If that tractor has 28 inch rear tires ir is called a utility model. I have 2 of them. Ollie Schaeffer calls them a 550 on steroids

Describe the front axle. like I mentioned in the other post you may have a utility model not a standard. The 62 baler was the first Oliver baler with the roto-flow feed system.

I would love to have a 1600 row crop or better yet one of those low profile (utility) with 28" rubber like you bought.

Have no idea what you paid, but you certainly seem to find the awesome deals on prices in your part of the country on the low cost desirable tractors.

My guess is you found yet another rather cheap.

As Max mentioned, the 26 & 28 inch wheels were used on the utility tractors. The standard tractors use 30 & 34 inch wheels.

I guess it is the Utility not a standard has the adjustable front axle, also has tilt steering wheel, showing 2497 hrs on a working tach and hour meter.Paid $2200 for the 1600 and
$200 for the baler.
