1755 hydraulic oil cooler pump

Hi guys,
I have been having issues with a noisy hydraulic system that will momentarily lock up the steering, 3pt and remotes at different times and making a warbling sound when it does it. I have changed the oil and filter and have pulled the breather off to see if that was causing the problem. it has 2,100 lbs of pressure at the remotes. I have felt all along it was air getting in the system. Today I took the belt off the hydraulic cooler pump and the problems seemed to go away. "I hope". I ran it off and on several times through out the day. I am going to try it again tomorrow. I have a hunch it is getting air through a worn cooler pump. I see you have to take the pulley off to get the pump off the mounting bracket.
Do I need a special puller or will it come off by working it off? Any advice on this?
I talked to Miabach's and they send a rebuilt one with a updated pulley.
Thanks in advance for your advice.

One bit of advice, do not over tighten the belt that drives this pump. I went through a couple before I realized that this pump doesn't actually need a lot of hp and have saved myself this problem by just snugging up the belt. I guess having it too tight causes the bushing to go out and air gets into the system.

The 1755 I bought numbers out as one of the last ones and doesn't have a belt driven lube pump. Just the A/C compressor in the same spot.
