1655 3 point arm oil seal

Was gonna change seal on lift arm. Got arm off and found what looks like a bushing and much thinner seal than agco replacement. I lined up the new seal with the old one and it is the correct diameter but looks like it's too wide. Is this the same seal with a groove cut in it from years of arm rotation? Should I put a sheet metal screw in it and try to pull it out or wait until I can get it in shop and remove the rockshaft?

sounds like a brass bushing and I suppose it could've wore down, but I can't see it being used enough to do it. Not like it's being raised and lowered repeatedly, rapidly generating any kind of heat. You may have the wrong one or the wrong one was installed years ago and why it's now leaking. As far as being in the shop, that's a no brainer to me. I'd be at least next to the shop, in it would be my first choice, but I don't have a shop large enough for mine, yet.

I'd check around before committing to that part. I have a local place that seems to know exactly what parts are needed and found this out the hard way. Someone else here called them and they were very helpful, I'd bet they could say better than most if you have the right part.

A.J. Boellner Maumee, Oh. they have a web page.
