I pulled the baler out of the shed today and when I went to back up to hook up a wagon I lost my shifter. Took off the tower and put the rails back in place. Did the same thing again. Tower off again, this time I found the rear end of the right shift rod was broken. So it was back to Ol' John to bale. Does AGCO still have the rods? I know the hydraulic housing has to come off. Do I need to do a split to get the rod out? I heard a rattling noise in reverse when I backed up to the baler.

If its the same as the Super 77 I have one of those I've been robbing parts off of if it not too hard to get out.Doesn't have an engine in it so access should be pretty easy.

Is this a common problem? I recall PO saying he put new ones in it. They are circled in the parts manual I got with it. I'm not equipped to split something this size. Can I get it done without a split? Take the engine out, maybe? I need to replace the O-ring in the H-P cover and clean the tank. Do it all at once.

You don't split it! If you are going to work on the hydra-power do it all at one time! More questions send me an e-mail with your phone number. J.
