1855 funky hydraulics.

Remotes are very slow raising implements, some times it don't even wants to lower them
hydr oil is getting too hot.

The screw of the relief valve on the pump has to be screwed in nearly all the way to get the pressure at the remotes to read 2250 psi,...the pump starts squealing if i raise the pressure even more

The compensator and unloader valve block under the pump has been taken apart and there appears nothing wrong with it.

The hydr filter is new and the tank is clean.

Pump shot?..or am i missing something ?.

I have no flow rator nor have i access to one.

thanks

Screw ON the pump IS the compensator valve. Reducing valve and relief are below the pump. If you don't have a manual get one.

You can have several problems. You need to check leakage at the case drain for sure. We have found a few tractors where the relief valve setting was too low. We have also found some bad compensator valves. You need a manual and get yourself some plugs to block off circuits as well.

I have a manual, actually i have 2 of them.
here is what i did today.
I put a 3000 psi gauge on the rear bottom test port of the relief valve block.
I made a loop line for 1 of the remote valves and put a 5000 psi gauge in the other remote valve.
I fired the tractor up and let it warm up.
The gauge on the relief valve block read 2250 psi as did the one on the remote when moving the lever.
When i activated the remote lever, the 3000 psi gauge dropped to 1800 psi before rising again to 2250 which is normal i guess as the pressure will drop momentarily before the pump catches up.
When i activated the remote with the loop line the 3000 psi gauge dropped to 1550 psi with the engine at 800 RPM which according to the manual is where it has to be.
So far everything checks out but extending an implement cylinder is still slow and it does not matter which control valve i use. the restrictor screws on the manifold and both remotes are turned fully counter clock wise.

I can feel vibration and chatter when i lay my hand on the hydraulic tube coming from the relief valve block to the remote valve manifold.(Engine at idle)
On the 2 other 1855's i have there is far less vibration on this line. The hydr oil temp on these 2 tractors runs also a lot cooler by about 50-60 degree F than the one i have the issue with. the Oil cooler pump is working fine.

I can not duplicate the exact issue i had the day before when the implement would neither raise nor lower in one or the other remote valve and the hydr oil temp was in excess of 200 F.
The steering became erratic as well yet the PTO never became disengaged when running the hay bine.

I checked the hydr circuit of the haybine with an other tractor and found no issue.
