77 front wheel bearing

I haven't tried Agco yet,but does anybody have a good number for the outer wheel bearing from an Oliver 77 narrow front?
There's a Bower number on it plain as day,2879,but it won't cross to anything at the auto parts store. They can get the inner bearing and cup alright.

Randy, check the Timken and SKF catalogs on line. Both have cross references then search those numbers in NAPA, Oreilly, etc. Or go to locateballbearings.com and search the Bower number, great prices there.

It's still coming up to a Timken 2879 instead of a Bower 2879. Won't come up as a good number at the auto parts store.

That's the Timken number they were trying to find. They said it wouldn't come up as being available.
Do you know if it's been discontinued? I can't imagine that Timken would discontinue a bearing. He didn't have any trouble finding the bearing and race for the inside, but he couldn't get the one for the outside.

I wonder if there's a number for the bearing and cup together? I know on the 1550-1850,it comes up as an A-35 for both parts together.

Talk about a stroke of luck. I wouldn't have bet ten cents in a million years that the outer bearing on a 70 was the same. The hubs are nothing alike. I checked Agco Parts Books and they listed that same BA5014A for the 70 too. That's the Agco number for that 2879. I've got a front end for a 70 turned upside down out back. The caps are already off. I took the nut off and pulled the bearing out. Same thing. Couldn't believe my eyes.
