Super 55 lift stuck in up position

Hello new here, seen a old post. Too old
to post back to. Now, lift was working
fine. Shut tractor down. Lift does not
leak down. Fired it back up, lift worked
up and down just fine. No noises, no
jerks, smooth as silk. Pulled lever up
one last time, lift went north. Tractor
engine bogged when lift got to the end
of its travel. Engine is still in strain
from I'm assuming pump,pumping against a
relief valve. Pump housing got hot,
where fluid passages from pump go
through housing. Any ideas on problem? I
will post back when I find the problem.
I will not leave anyone else hanging
that is having the same problem.
Oh,,,,no implement was on lift at either
time. Thanx for any replies.

I send you a reply via e-mail. But before I make some suggestions, I need to know if you have the early Super 55 unit or the later one. Adjustments are different. Please let me know if you receive the e-mail. J.

Thanx, I got email from YT not sure if that's what you mean. I have a1955 serial number 30515. If that's not what you're looking for. Let me know. Hope that helps.
Came out today. Lift still up, put weight on it. Still won't go down.

Ok, true to my word. I'm reporting back. Pulled lift housing, removed pan, small tap on the control valve ,lift arms went down smoothly. If this happens again, I will remove one end of the adjusting turnbuckle. On the outside. Tap it,as it was very light tap. I looked while it was off. The linkage goes straight to the valve. Must have been a piece of small debris. Not in vane, as I found a small leak in the feed tube casting to the pump. Put it all back together, works great so far. Hope this helps anyone in the future. If they have the same problem. ..
