Looking at older Olivers. Was the hydra power in the 770s & 880s ok or would I be better off to stay with the supper 77 or 88? More speeds are nice but so is not having to work on them.

Well what are you going to do with the tractor? We had very few problems with the Power booster in a 770 gas. On the other side of the coin a later Super 77 is a nice trouble free tractor. Are you looking at a gas, LP or diesel model?

Red, You can get 770s and 880s without the power booster and having had both I would rather have one without the power booster for every day work. Shifting is a real pain with it. However the power shift is nice to have for tractor pulling. Chuck

Does the term play work fit? going to a sale with a super 77 diesel, wide front, three point. Of course wife doesn't think I need another tracror

Does it run? Does it have a Bosch or Roosa Master pump? The 1957 tractors have some improvements over the older ones. Is it an Oliver 3 point?
