The three point settles overnight, how does a guy check to see if the piston seals are leaking or the valves owner wants it up. Also owner has issues with the flow of the two way remotes, think I just need to adjust the restrictors under the seat. I have a flow meter to check flow and do I check pressure with the front 3/8 internal plug and not the 1/2 external one. If a guy is going through the work of replacing a steering hose under the dash, best to replace them all since I rather not go back in there again? 265-12033 Model 177 717-452 Serial. thanks chris

You can service the servo valve from the top after you remove the cover with the remote valves. The lowering valve is a ball that is unseated by hydraulic pressure. Not much to go wrong there. I would guess it's the piston seal. Just an O-ring but you have to take the whole housing off and turn it over to get the cylinder out. The 3/8 plug is for the pressure test. 1/2 plug is the filter relief valve.

Easy way to check pressure is put a pressure gauge in one of the remote couplers. Hook your flow meter in the remote break-a-way as well. You do have a pressure gauge on your flow meter right? Put a little weight on the 3 point, raise the 3 point, shut the tractor off remove the hydraulic cover and look for oil flow. You need to pump about 2 gallon of oil out of the unit so you can watch the piston. It could also be a leaking safety valve.

One thing I thought of later was this tractor hydraulic system set up to use a single acting remote cylinder? If so, did you check to make sure the bypass valve for the 3 point is closed tight and the bleed screws for the remote cylinders are tight? Start there first.

Could be air in the system or a leak. Has taken mine some time to work out air in the system and I really don't know how a closed system can work air out of it without a bleeder, but it does. Hot water heating system are closed, so are brakes, they both use bleeders and have to be bled. I don't know how fluid gets to the bottom of a cylinder when it has no exit.

Fluid level on my 1850 are vary important to proper operation.
