I understand that Oliver used two different speed gear ratios during the time period of 1952 - 1954
I have a 1953 oliver 77 sn 351012 can any one tell me which ring and pinion this unit may have
it seems to be slow on tractor rides.

If your serial number is correct it is a late 1952 tractor. After the last digit is there a C the numbers 77 and then another letter? That would be the identifier for which ring & pinion you have. If it is a 1953 tractor you don't have enough digits and you should also have a specification number. What about engine RPM? Have you checked the high idle no load speed?

yes there are numbers following, all of the numbers are: 351012 C 77 D
I agree this looks like a late model 1952 I do not know what all the numbers stand for
thank you for the help
