I'm going to start farming in another year and need a drill I was wondering if anyone on here had a Oliver drill in decent shape with rubber wheels that they would get rid of cheap? I'm in Ohio thanks for any help!

Go to Craigslist and the farm adds punch
in oliver and see what comes up. I seen a
nice one on there for 500 . It's also nice
to compare prices seen a starter weight
and stack weight for 225. Surprising the
guy has it right it was the correct one
for a 1550. I've got the wrong one but I
paid 75 for it but they both work.

I'd like to find a good later model one myself. I can find steel wheeled ones, the ones with the big narrow tires and occasionally a small one on rubber from the mid 50s,but nothing in a 17 hole or larger with white wheels.

(quoted from post at 20:17:16 07/02/16) I have a John Deere with rubber packers. I think it is a 14 foot 6 inch spacing

Thanks for all the tips yeah I've been checking Craigslist and the steel wheels pop up a lot. Id be interested but I'm a little far away I'm in Ohio but thank you!

Nick, try searching the Pittsburgh craigslist for Oliver grain drill
and there's a real nice Oliver 76. Green and white paint.
Looks to be in real nice shape. It's in prospect pa which is in
western pa about an hour north of Pittsburgh

I think you are looking for an Oliver 76. I don't know how many were produced and where they were sold. I found one in Iowa last fall in rough condition, but bought it anyway. Never seen one in the field and where I grew up and live today, all farms had a drill. Maybe some one on this forum can help both of us.
