char lynn power steering

I have an 880 with the aftermarket power steering kit that is having some troubles. First off the front seal started leaking, but I found that Steiner sells a kit for it. For now I just keep oil in it. Now it quit working all together. Does anyone know what kind of pressure the pump is supposed to put out? Want to make sure it is the pump and not the torque motor. thanks

Not certain about the 880 setup, but I have a cockshutt 540, circa 1959, with factory power steering pump and Char-lynn torque generator for power steering. The AIT manual says the Vickers vane pump should put out 1200 psi to the char-lynn unit. The vickers pump on mine, correct for the tractor, was also used on late 50's cars. If you have the same kind of pump I expect your pressure should be that.
