adding a backhoe to my 570?

Hello. I am thinking of my next project for the summer. Heres what I have, I picked up a three point hitch backhoe that will dig 9.2 feet deep and is rated for 45-90hp for cheep a couple of years ago. I have used it on a case 510b, but I think the tractor is to small and am worrying of braking the 3pth off it. So I have been planning on putting it on my cockshutt 570 (no 3pt hitch) by building a bracket that attaches to various parts of the tractor. But where? I was going to build something that goes from the front end loader rear mount, axle tube and the rings on the top of the rearend cover (where the part of the cockshutts original 3pt hitch was designed to attach).
My question is would it be strong enough if I only mounted it to the top cover and the drawbar frame sort of like the way they designed for the original 3pt hitch to attach?
I only will use the backhoe a few times a year and fairly light digging. Thanks

If you have a front end loader on this tractor then I would start by mounting it to the back 3 or 4 feet of the loader frame. I would then use a cross over piece connecting the two first pieces and anchor it to the draw bar frame. If you have a top link bracket on your tractor then use that as your upper anchor just like it was designed for. If not then I would fashion one from both axels. You could use the hydraulic top plate loops as you indicated but I would advise against it. These were a weak point in all the Cockshutt tractors and I can't tell you how many I have seen broke. I have had to replace a couple my self and provide others with these plates because theirs were broke. Just my opinion, feel free to email me if you want to know more. Irv [email protected]
