1555 two speed stuck in high.

The 2 speed will not shift. Should I try prying on it or take it apart?

It will not shift or the linkage will not move? I have had tractors where the 2 speed lever on the side rusted fast on the pivot pin. Need more details here. If the linkage moves in both positions you may need to take a pressure check of the direct drive clutch circuit.

Is it a tractor you use all the time or has it been sitting an extended amount of time?

You are right on. The lever was stuck on the pivot. I gave it some PB Blaster and taped with a hammer. It came free. Added some oil and worked it back and forth. It is still very stiff but it works. The two speed works fine. I just didn't want to wreck something inside if a piston was stuck or something. Easier to ask before getting rough.
