Oliver S55 oil pressure question

Just wondering if there's supposed to be a check valve of some sort to prevent the oil filter from draining back into the oil pan after engine shut down. I know mine drains empty each time and takes a while to fill up on start up.

 &nbsp Don't worry about it, the filter is just a bypass filter and has nothing to do with the engine lube other than filtering a small amount of oil as it runs.   The filtered oil is just dumped into the crankcase pan, not used for engine lube.
