my 1650 is missing the sway blocks (i think thats what they are called) on either side of the drawbar for the 3 point arms. i had a set of sway chains laying around that i put on. i put our 3 point plows on and tightend up the chains but it wont let the 3 point drop. it wont let it drop without any attachment on it either. anybody ever tried putting these chains on before? just looking for input. i have one end pinned to the bottom of the rear axle on the flat piece with the holes in it, under the fender mounts. and the other is attached where vertical lift arm attaches to the 3 point arm. thanks.

Don't think it will work like that. To use sway chains on 3pt the anchor pothe ints must stay the same length at all times most tractors that used them crossed them from the front pivot to opposite side middle of arm this also meant that the drawbar needed to be removed. Best to find a set of blocks if you can they don't wear out just get misplaced from time to time. Other models will fit or made out of scrap steel.
