1650 hydraulic valve

Trying to diagnose 1650 loader problems.
Took hydraulic control unit off to see
if there was a stuck valve or bad o ring
or broken spring.
How do I get the interlock valve
assemblies out? I've got the pipe plugs
out. Do I just tap them out and from
which side? Also what are these funny
looking bolts?
 
Funny looking bolts? No picture. I assume you have the rear cover off the valve. Take out the two large hex heads from the front, 1 1/2 in wrench. Rear plugs first. Grab the 1/2 in dia. stem with pliers and pull and wiggle. Remove spring and ball. Then use a 1/2 inch soft rod to tap out the plunger, seat, ball spring and plug from the front. Use the same rod to drive out the rear seat. Did you take the restrictor valves out? The little mushroom end can drop into the vertical fluid passage. I first thought one of mine was missing till it fell out when I was driving out the rockshaft.
 
Thanks Mike! For whatever reason my phone won't download the pictures. Do I need to remove the Pistons and springs under the rectangular plate in the center of the unit?

I don't follow. If you have the plate off the rear of the unit, the two lower and inner holes are the valves. Upper two on the outside are the interlocks. The valves are probably your problem. Take out the snap ring and they slide right out, no O-ring. If they don't slip out you may have to drive the roll pins out of the front ends. The springs stay on the valve spool. Don't mix them up. Look for worn corners or chips on the large diameters. Look at the spool bores for scoring or wear. There should be sharp corners where the fluid passages intersect.

Got em out. i found a chewed up o ring on one of the interlocks.Everything else looks good. Sure hope this is the problem. Thanks Mike.
