I just purchased a 1973 cockshutt 1265 4wd w/1534 loader and it has 9.5-20 front ag tires and 14.9-28 13W rear tires. I have to replace a rear rim and am wondering if the regular 6 bolt outer rim fits and also if I could use 13.6-28 rear tires without damage to the 4wd system. The manual lists many tire sizes and 14.9-28 is not listed but this tire combo has been used by previous owner for many years...
I can get a decent $ on 13.6-28 on fiat rims...

Don't have my book handy, but pretty sure all the 65 series Fiat FWD's had 16.9-30 rears and 9.5-24 fronts (or some combination of that ratio). I don't remember seeing any different axle ratio options on those, like on the big tractors, but would have to check the books. My math says the ratio based on the tires sizes you have would not be OK.

One way to tell for sure if the tire sizes are right front to back is to put the tractor on a hard surface in 4WD and the trans in neutral then roll it by hand.If
it starts to bind up the tires are wrong.
