It darn well better. I thought I got it where I wanted last fall. The lift seemed to be working but when I put the snow blower on it would only lift it at full throttle and didn't go quite all the way up. Pressure test showed only 500 psi so I tore the whole durn thing apart. One lift arm slid right off but the other was stuck. My torch and little press wouldn't budge it. I took it to a large trucking company garage nearby and it took a 40 ton press and a lot of torch to get it off. The pump looked useable but the seal was partly gone. I located a seal kit and put it all back together all cleaned up, painted and with new O-rings. Just waiting for repair to the idler gear shaft and it goes back on. It and the wobbler from my 1207 made a good winter basement project. Keeping my fingers crossed on the pump.

I can not wait to see action pics. I knew some hydraulic problems popped up when you tried to snow blow - did not realize they went that deep though.

I follow the 1550's progress with interest since I considered buying it when you passed on it first time around...and then you reconsidered. I simply did not need a tractor that big for my piddle patch.

No it was the 1550. I have written about a 1800A a lot though since I spent a good portion of my youth operating one and it remains to this day my all time favorite tractor that I have worked ground with.

Here is the old thread on the 1550 (copy and paste) ....

PS: I am up to 8 tractors now myself instead of 6 like mentioned in the old thread. Wife has since added an 850 Ford and I just drug home a CASE SC about a week ago...(is there a cure for this disease besides death - LOL).
