Hello,we have a 66 Oliver that was converted to 12
volt,we converted it back to 6 but we didn't have
much luck getting it to roll fast enough to start with a
deep cycle battery and new heavy cables so we
hooked it back to 12. Currently we're using a delco
alternator but the side hood will not close,is there an
alternator available close to the original size of the
generator? Also would there be anything else we
could try if we tried it back on 6v? We replaced the
piston rings and head gasket and local guys have
suggested that the engine may be too tight now and
might not start easily on 6 because of it?
