1950T Single Air Cleaner Muffler

Does anyone know what muffler was used on this tractor. The inlet is 3 1/4". This site and others show an oval muffler which I don't think is correct. Should it have a shield? Does anyone know what it should be, round or oval, shield or no shield? Where do I get one. I have checked all the common sources I know of.

Good Luck! The factory muffler was round. No heat shield. It was made by Nelson, but they don't make one exactly like it anymore. Best bet is to find a used one in a junk yard or buy the correct body size one from Nelson and build a larger inlet.
I found a used one for mine.

Not sure what it's worth, but I have a pretty good condition oval one I'd sell off our 1855.

Had I known a couple years ago how sought after the round ones are,I wouldn't have set it down at the bone yard a few years ago. I would have snatched it for the $10 they were asking for it.
